When to try getting your breech baby to turn head down by Midwife Charli

In maternity care we only refer women with breech babies at 36 weeks and reassure women before that point babies can move freely and to not worry about breech presentation.
However, when I had my own breech baby, I realised the research showed that a baby is generally set in their position from 34 weeks - so optimising head down is important from 30 weeks onwards, if we spent more time helping women then to optimise fetal positioning then we may have less breech babies at term which can lead to a sense of more choice in birth options for them.
